During one of our in day lectures we were set a task based on big ideas. The idea of this task is to loook at how we can connect text to illustration by being given a brief that we must interpret ourselves. My piece I was given was clled 'ninja virus' and was about a type of bacteria that culd be injected into our bodies to help antibbiotic restitent bacteria. This is a huge issue currently as the more often we are given antibiotics the more varients of bacteri are developing making the antibiotics useless and therefore being wasted.
Once, i got my brief I began creating sketches of fun different bacteria which relate to the words within the text. I also felt the discussion of this problem and idea would suit a science magazine best as it would interest those with a medical background or maybe just see it as an interest. I feel this only needs to be in a magazine as it is not a massive problem compared to current events such as covid and also hasnt 100% been proven or tested so instead would just suit a non biased article discussing and informing the possibility. I also feel it would be nice to create a dpuble page spread with fun bright bacteria illustrations that would add a cheerful vibe that therefore gives a feel for this positive possibilty.
If i was to carry on with this project and develop it further, i wluld look at possible compositions of articles and see which would suit the illustration i would create. I would also play around with some sketches and look at possible artists that may have done something simmilar or who specilise in medical illustrations.
