As part of our project looking an observation and reportage drawing, we were sent to practise and experiment our technical skills by looking around our environment at uni on campus looking at people or event landscape elements. Below shows my collection of drawings over a double page. this task was very much out of my comfort zone as i sometimes find it hard to draw under pressure, however, I was actually impressed with how my drawings developed as felt i was able capture the environemnt whilst also adding my own style.
For this task i chose to work in coloured pencil to push away from normal pencil which can easily be rubbed out, whilst coloured pencil is harder to get rid of and yet still has texture. I liked how this look as I love to include colour within my work.
Moving forward I feel it is important I carry on practising my observational drawings especially focusing on how i can bring both the landscape and portraits together to really communicate that repotarge style.
