Digitally Developed Self Portrait
After producing a range of different thumbnails looking at how i could capture my self portrait, i decided to work digitally and focus on an overall simplistic style which focuses on the idea of colour and pattern. As you can see from my final illustration there were alot of pastel toned colours as these were colours that io would typically gravitate towards and therefore felt it would best represent myself. I also included some fun elements within the background such as foliage, stars and flowers, i chose to do this as i felt it reflected myself very well and really showed my personality and my interests.
Overall i was happy with how this looked as felt it had a light hearted simplistic feel yet still allowed me to show detail and character. I don't particularly feel like there is as such as a resemblance but i do not consider my portrait work as realism but instead representational. If was to move forward or change any part i would maybe revisit some smaller elements such as maybe the colour of my jumper as i feel this compliments against the licla and the other greens but not always in the best way. I also think i would revisit the eyes and maybe look at how i could change these for a bit more resemblance.
