Spot thumbnails
As well as creating thumbnails for the front cover it was important i thought about the spot illustrations and how they could be developed to fit with the main idea of the front cover. For my spot illustrations i was mainly thinking of some symbols that would relate to the idea of negative body image and social media. Therefore on my sketches below you ca see there are some, diet pills, dislike icons, a measuring tape and also the idea of seeing a different body type on the feed of social media.
I do like these ideas however, after thinking about my front cover these seem rather negative and go against the idea of all bodies are okay, therefore when developing i think i need to think about how these could be twisted to be seen in more of a positive light.
