As part of the reportage project we were to do a task based around a word linked to our editorial project. My Editorial project based on the idea of body image relating to social media, therefore i simply chose the word body image to see how i could combine that with illustration to really tell a conceptual message.
For the first thumbnail i simply thought about the bold type and combining with the symbols to show the damaging effects that social media can have on our view of ourselves. I really like how this looks however i feel the word could be more cleverly adapted.
As for the second sketch i was thinking about how i could use the illustration to frame the work, i chose to use the polaroid format to represent that idea of social media like seen in my thumbnails, i like the idea however for it to be successful it would need top be developed further as it does not come off as clearly.
As fopr the final sketch i was playing around with how i could use elements and symbols to create the word therefore i used the idea of diet pills to show the negative side of body image.
